Yesterday, I received a question from one of our subscribers. He asked me how to impress a girl on Facebook.

It’s a very good question because more and more people are meeting, hooking up, dating, and getting married after meeting on Facebook.

So, there’s a girl you like and you want to know how to attract her. Below I’m going to lay out some tips and strategies that you can put into effect that should impress just about any girl.

Remember, though, that every situation and every girl is different. So you need to pay attention to what she likes and dislikes and play off of that.

How To Impress A Girl On Facebook: Your Profile

What type of girl is it that you’re trying to impress? Is she conservative? Wild? Does she like to party? Does she go to church? You need to be VERY familiar with her profile in terms of the things she likes and the things she responds to. Look at the music she listens to, the books she reads, the movies she watches. Can you spot a theme? Does she like Stephen King books, listening to Rob Zombie and watching the “Saw” movies? If so, you can guess the theme.

When you’re figuring out how to impress a girl on Facebook you can get a long way by “rebranding” yourself to match her “brand.” Change your profile to match hers. Now what you do NOT want to do is put the same things on your profile. Don’t put the “Saw” movies and Stephen King as your likes. Put the horror movie “Hostel” and the horror novelist Clive Barker. See how that works? You want to create a connection before there’s a connection.

Is she a party girl? When dating on Facebook this is an important question to ask yourself. If so, put some pictures up on your profile that shows your party side. If you don’t have any pictures like that then take a camera with you when you go out.

For your main profile pictures you want to put a nice shot of your face smiling. Unless the girl is really into something like Manga you don’t want to put a cartoon character or something rediculous. The flip side to this is if she knows you. If she knows who you are then you can put a picture up of something else other than your face. If you have a wacky personality then put up something wacky. It really depends on your situation. However, if you’re not sure then a nice picture of your face will suffice.

You can also get a specific when learning how to impress a girl on Facebook. Does she like guitar? Does she speak French? If so, then take some guitar or french language lessons and place your progress on your wall. This works well if you guys are friends on Facebook.

How To Impress A Girl On Facebook: Messaging Her

If you’re friends with this girl you like then sending her a message won’t be as difficult. You can simply start a conversation with her about something you both know about. Say one of your mutual friends got drunk and puked in a Burger King. You could simply send her a message asking her if she heard what happened then build to a point where you could ask her to “hang out.” It could go something like this:

You: Did you hear what Tommy did?

Her: Yeah, he barfed at Burger King. I heard he drank like 50 shots.

You: That’s ridiculous. He’s lucky to be alive. Poor bastard.

Her: I know! I can’t even imagine drinking that much. If I have like 5 shots I get sick.

You: Speaking of shots, are you guys going out this weekend?

Her: I think so. We’ll probably be at Barney’s.

You: What time? Chris and I were thinking of going out. We should meet you guys there.

Her: Sounds cool. We’ll be there around 10.

You: Nice. See you then.

Now you’ve worked your way into actually spending some time with her.

What if you don’t know her? This is a bit more complicated. If you don’t know her then you have to build up the conversation much slower. You should still “rebrand” your page to be like hers (but not too much or you’ll freak her out).

You should send her a message that’s much less pointed. What you want to do is find something really strange or unique about her profile. Does she play the banjo? If so:

You: Hey, you don’t know me, and I normally don’t send out messages to people I don’t know but I couldn’t help noticing that you play the banjo. I really want to learn and wanted to know where the best place to go to get lessons.

This will allow you to “break the ice” without looking like a crazy stalker. Simply find something on her profile that’s not normal and ask her a question about it. Chances are she’s very proud of the fact that she plays banjo (or whatever it is) and will be more than happy to help someone who wants to learn.

This is an advanced move that’s really only good for those guys who know the girl they want to impress AND know that she’s impressed by guys who get a lot of attention from other girls. You can jump on Fiverr.com and pay really hot girls to be your Facebook girlfriend. For a designated period of time they will flirt with you on your wall. This is a great move for guys wanting to impress a certain type of girl and also a great way to make girls jealous.
