How Can I Meet A Girl?

One of the most frequent questions I get asked is “how can I meet a girl that will like me for who I am?”  This is a question that most men ask themselves at one time or another in their lives.  After all, women are what make the world go around, right?   So,  lets get to the bottom of the question and answer it as best as possible.

When you want to meet a female that you’re compatible with or at least you have enough in common to make things work you probably want to skip trying to meet them in bars and clubs.  I have a friend who always wants to find “the girl of his dreams“ but the only place he ever goes to meet women is at bars and dance clubs.  I think most men are in the same boat.  We keep going back to these places because they are usually filled with women.  The problem is, and most women will admit this, girls at these places really aren’t looking for a man.  They may be all dressed up and looking their best but really all they want is to go out, have a few drinks, and have a great time with THEIR FRIENDS.

They’re not looking to pick up men.

You need to know that meeting girls is not hard.  What’s hard is knowing exactly what to say to them to get them interested in you.  Most guys can’t do this.  Unless you look like a movie star you’re not going to get girls without having the right skills.  The good news is, you can learn these skills and attract any girl you want even if you’re not tall, good looking or rich.  It just takes time and patience

Also, when you’re wanting to know how can I meet a girl that bars and clubs are also FULL of competition.  There are tons of other guys at these places all with the same desire as you.  So not only are women not looking for men, but you also have a large number of competitors.  This makes getting women at bars and clubs almost impossible.

Where You Should Go

When the bars and clubs aren’t working, what are you supposed to do?   One of the most effective ways of finding girls to meet are places where girls hang out but where there is little competition and where they’re not going to meet guys specifically.  Places like the mall, coffee shops, shoe stores, clothing stores, etc.   Women visit places like this and they’re not thinking of meeting men.  So they don’t have their guard up.  When women go to clubs they are constantly being hit on so they keep their guard up.  When they are shopping at a local clothing store, they don’t have their guard up so they are much easier to approach.

You want to try and find places where women would be but that the atmosphere is not sexually charged.  Places like concerts and festivals are PERFECT places for meeting women.  Most cities have art festivals and fairs where there will be tons of women.   Check your local event paper for concerts, fairs, festivals, art shows, sports events, etc. and you can be there will be tons of single girls there.

Also, what’s great about places like this is that there is a LOT to talk about.  If you’re at a concert, for instance, you can talk about the band you’re watching.  If you’re at a fair or art festival you can talk about the booths and the art pieces.   This makes breaking the ice MUCH easier.

One thing to remember:  Make sure you don’t act like you are there to meet women.  If you go to a clothing store make sure it’s a male/female clothing store.  Don’t walk into Victoria’s Secret and start throwing down one-liners.  Go to a place like the Gap or Old Navy where they have women and men’s clothing.  Shop around a bit before you make your approach.

Check Out The Internet

The internet is one of the the BEST places to find women.  Think about all the sites that are set up JUST for dating.  Then think about the social network sites like Myspace and Facebook.  Facebook is actually the best website to meet girls because there are so many there.  It’s a little difficult at first to get your network going but you can use the forums and the groups there to meet lots of single women in your area.  So branch out.  Start sending out friends requests to girls who are friends of your friends.  Beef up your profile to make it as interesting as possible (this is a VERY important step).  To beef up your profile just add some good pictures and fill out all the information.   Try to make yourself seem as interesting as possible without lying.

There are MILLIONS and MILLIONS of women online that are looking to meet men.  Think about this next time you’re thinking about the best way to meet someone special.   Learning how to pick up women online is different than meeting and attracting them offline. But once you learn how to do it properly you literally have an endless supply of girls to choose from.
